*Remove the Tom Cruise Risky Business clips as you don’t have permission for it, and will probably not be able to get permission for it.
*The editing isn’t clear as to what you’re trying to get across. The shots changes are too random.
*There should be an establishing shot at the beginning, it starts too quickly.
*Make the ending fade away while adding a fading sound to the music to get the better effect to the ending and not just end so suddenly.
*Make it brighter, it is at some points extremely hard to see different scenes.
My Response to the feedback:
In my improved music video, I will remove the Tom Cruise Risky Business clips and replace them with clips of me dancing while still using it those clips as inspiration as well as helping to make the editing have more meaning.
To make the editing have more meaning I will need to tie-in from me dancing at home to dancing on the stage. The message I was trying to get across was that my character was imagining dancing on the stage while dancing at home. To better show this, I will need to some more clips of my character doing the same dance moves as he is doing on the stage and dissolve from one scene to another to get the transition better.
At the very beginning, I have decided to add a shot where my character is thinking while looking up to look like he is reminiscing or imagining. The camera will zoom on him and then dissolve into the dancing on stage to help make it look like he is imagining throughout the entire video.
I originally had an establishing shot on my music video but this shot had errors on it so I couldn’t use it for my first draft. On my improved version I will add an establishing shot of my bedroom.
The final two suggestions are easy to do so I will just a fading sound to the end and remove the final shot of me being over the top and make the shots brighter like most dance music videos would be.
